Organizing 101 Training – Presented by Mutual Aid Diabetes & Rising Organizers

January 10 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join Hannah Crabtree (@lollydaggle) from Mutual Aid Diabetes and Elyssa Feder (@elyssafeder), Executive Director and co-founder of Rising Organizers for Organizing 101 Training, with a special perspective on how to apply the basics of grassroots organizing within the diabetes community.

In this training you will learn how to define and develop an effective organizing strategy and build a community of people to move it forward.

Do you want to build or strengthen a movement you care about within or outside of the diabetes community? Do you want to learn more about how political change happens and how you can get involved?

We’ll learn how to define and develop an effective organizing strategy and build a community of people to move it forward in an accessible, interactive environment.

Since the 2016 election, Rising Organizers has trained over 2200 new and beginner activists. Our public trainings are designed to help groups and individuals expand their knowledge of community organizing, develop distinct goals, and learn how to make those goals a reality. Rising Organizers is a community of grassroots organizers that works to develop new progressive leaders and activists in order to create more effective progressive movements. We provide free public trainings throughout the year, led by alumni of Rising Organizers’ fellowship program.

Mutual Aid Diabetes (MAD) is a mutual aid network created by and for the diabetes community in response to the insulin crisis in the United States.

This training is free but RSVPs are required.

This training will be remote and conducted over Zoom.
Please reach out to mutualaiddiabetes@gmail.com with any accessibility needs that would allow you to participate fully in the training and we will provide them.
